Testimonials

Where do i start...? :) Honestly, i have a hard time putting into words just how much your support throughout this journey has meant to us. Being a Doula is definitely your calling.

Thank you for all of your kindness, patience, wisdom and encouragement over the last 9 months.

You've gone above and beyond for us and we do feel it. You definitely made this transition into life as parents (and a breastfeeding mom) so much easier and calmer.

"Lindsay was fantastic during the labour/birth. She was calm, confident, and very knowledgeable. Her suggestions of positioning were very useful, and she was able to keep both myself and my partner confident and in control during the whole experience. Lindsay?s support as a Labour Assistant was a very big part in making this, by far, the best of my 4 birthing experiences"

Erika was our doula and she was amazing. What we loved most about her was the fact that she was the "Everything" woman! I could ask her any question any time. My husband asked her questions. We felt so much support through a difficult and long labor. Whether she was pressing on my hips feeding me ice chips or giving my husband the support he needed she just made me feel completely comfortable and confident. I'm now blessed with a new friend and she will definitely be the first on my list to call when we expect baby #2! Thanks Erika!"

I first knew that I wanted to support women at three years of age. When asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I would undoubtedly answer; "A doctor who delivers babies, like Mr. Cosby on T.V."

I came from my hometown of Cornwall, ON to London after highschool to attend UWO. I got married soon after and found myself pregnant with twins. What a surprise! Even with all of my knowledge of birth and my passion to aid others through their journey, I felt like we had been ambushed.

We were told twins were high risk, that we would absolutely need a C-section as Twin "A" was breech and that we would and could have no say in this matter - after all, all that matters is "healthy babies, healthy mommy, right??" This did not sit right with us, how could I have no say when it was my body and my children being discussed? How could I be questioned on whether or not we wanted their birth to be SAFE? That goes without being said, but what was never said was that our feelings, needs and passions mattered. This experience caused my passion to burn hotter...

After the birth of my boys, I studied and read as much as I could about birth, C-sections, VBAC's (Vaginal Births After Ceserean) and breastfeeding. While pregnant with my third child, (two years later) we were prepared. We chose a midwife, not an obstetrician, and we hired a doula....I had my VBAC in hospital and delivered a healthy 9lbs 3oz baby boy. (A full 2 lbs over my heaviest twin). I was convinced! With the proper support, the interventions (especially C-section) were not necessary for me. A woman's body can and will do what it is meant to do if left to it's own devices.

I am now the proud mom of 5 with 2 homebirths to add to my hospital experiences. From water birth to surgical birth, you've got this!
